Just came back after participating in a wonderful candle light rally which was attended by thousands of people in a peaceful and democratic manner irrespective of race, caste and political affiliations to protest against the state govt's act of omission of "Ujjayanta Palace" name from the signboard at entry gate of the palace whereas presently the signboard only mentions "Tripura State Museum". Also probably by mistake they even forgot to mention the original name of this heritage building while printing the official invitation letter for the inauguration program of the Museum which is due on 25th Sept,2013. Probably its high time for our state govt to take notice regarding sensitivity and seriousness of the issue and reconsider the naming of the Museum at Ujjayanta Palace as "TRIPURA STATE UJJAYANTA MUSEUM" instead of 'Tripura State Museum'. At least after seeing the huge demonstration today evening, they should seriously consider it.
