Agartala, Sep 04, 2011 : Khumto S (19), a first year medical student of Agartala Government Medical College, was found dead inside his hostel room at GB Bazaar area under East Agartala police station on Sunday.
Khumto hails from Nagaland.
Police said, “The other inmates informed the hostel authority when they found Khumto was not responding their calls since morning”.
“We forced open the locked door and found him lying in his bed. He was dead”, a medical student said.
“It is apparently a case of unnatural death and the real reason can be confirmed only after post mortem”, said a police official.
“We, however, informed the family members of Khumto, a resident of Nagaland, to come here and receive the body”, said Dr. Chinmoy Biswas, officiating Principal of AGMC.
Meantime, Police registered an unnatural death case and started investigation.
