KCP militants sent to five days Police remand

Agartala, Aug 08, 2011 : Two KCP militants have been sent to five days police custody for their alleged involvement in anti-Indian activities by a local court here on Monday.

East Agartala Police team produced the Manipuri militants before the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate B Palit seeking 20 days Police remand for the duo arrested.



“Several sections for criminal conspiracy against India were slammed against them under IPC and Cr PC”, according to Police officials.

The Magistrate sent the Meitei operatives for five days police remand after examining the available documents.

APP Raghunath Mukharjee said, “Both the militants would be questioned thoroughly at special branch cell for divulging details”.



A special police team will not only investigate into the movement of the militants’ right from the time they lived but also all their calls to other places be tapped.

They would be produced further before the court on August 12 next.
