Agartala, Aug 14, 2011 : A three-day long national conference on ‘Water, Energy and Bio-Diversity- with special reference to North East region’ will begin at Agartala on August 20 next.
The Institution of Engineers (India), Tripura Centre, and National Institute of Hydrology, Roorkee will organize the conference in association with various government and apex bodies.
Chief Minister Manik Sarkar will inaugurate the conference where eminent scholars from across the country will remain present.
In the conference, three parallel technical sessions will be held besides discussion on water, energy resources and bio-diversity for tackling emerging challenges through scientific roadmap and for sustainable conservation.
A large section of individuals of eminence including students will attend the conference. It will end on August 22 next.
