Agartala, Jul 05, 2011 : Prabir Das Chowdhury has been shifted to GBP hospital on July 4 late night. He sat for fast unto death in front of Congress Bhawan on July 1 protesting the alleged deprivation of police personnel by Left Front government.
A police team sent the police revolt leader accompanied by some dismissed TSR and SPOs to hospital after his health condition had deteriorated.
“He is being treated at the hospital. His condition is improving now”, said a hospital official over telephone when contacted today.
“No response from the state government has been received till 1 pm”, said Das Chowdhury’s followers.
Earlier, Das Chowdhury had tried several times to meet Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on his 37-point Charter of demands but failed.
