Agartala, Jul 27, 2011 : Pawan Hans chopper service has resumed to operation with double engine in Tripura on July 26 last.
The service was suspended in Tripura along with other north-eastern states after the tragic crash of a single engine chopper where Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu and his four associates were killed on April 30 last.
On July 26, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and two of his security personnel went to Dharmanagar on 12-seater chopper. The aircraft took off for Dharmanagar after a thorough check.
The resumed copter service would be operated on previous schedule and to and from same destinations, according to the official.
