Agartala, Aug 07, 2011 : Tripura will have its third golf course at Assam Rifles Compound after BSF and Army cantonment to attract more tourists soon.
“The proposed golf course will be established under Agartala Mega Destination Project approved by Union Ministry of Tourism recently”, said a TTDC official here on Saturday.
The project includes introduction of light and sound system at Ujjanyata Palace with development of two lakes and creation of tourism related facilities at Akhaura Check Post.
“State Government has also given the green signal to go ahead with the ambitious plan’, the official added.
“A team from Chandigarh College of Architecture will prepare the Detailed Project Report to execute the plan with an estimated cost of Rs 50 crore”, informed the TTDC official.
“However, the survey for the plan is already completed and a team of experts is expected to arrive here by next week”, the official said.
Besides, the Tourism Ministry has also agreed to separate project for Udaipur and Tripurasundari Temple.
